I'm not dooming here. I'm just stating reality. Trump has called for full immunity for police. That is scary.
I do not trust the police at all especially municipal police. Did you know that if your municipality is incorporated it is a corporation. It is no longer a common law local government it is an actual private corporation. So police work for a private corporation, and the police chief is not elected either. This is a big problem because the police chief and his force work on behalf of your private corporate municipality.
Wonder why people get ticketed for basically nothing? Wonder why they feel the need to come to your home without a warrant and believe they can do as they please? Wonder why even if a police officer is found guilty somehow they are rarely every fired and denied benefits and pensions?
Looking for a serious convo. Is anyone else concerned about Trump's statement and the state of the police in this country?
Full immunity likely doesnt mean for cops who are actual criminals. You have to have law and order to have a decent country and cops at this moment cannot do their job. Yes there are some bad cops but there are not that many of them that it should even be a problem.
