Like everything these days, a person needs to do their due diligence. Just because it says Stevia on the package, it does not mean that that is all that is in it. Stevia In the Raw contains maltodextrose, which is a sugar. Bad for diabetics like me.
I use Pyure, which is organic stevia extract and erythritol. I have used it for many years, and I haven't had any side effects or issues. Any studies that are coming out I treat with a grain of salt. I don't believe most of the crap unless it is peer reviewed and thoroughly documents. Also, I don't eat processed foods. We grow our food, or buy from local produce farms/ranchers
Yes it is. We also grow it. My point is that Erythritol hasn't done anything to me is all the years I have been using it. Daily. Anytime the government gets involved in any study, especially the NIH, I am automatically suspect of any "findings". Erythritol is found naturally. Just like everything on the planet, and our known universe, can cause different reactions in different people. Healthy foods can be deadly to some people. Bad foods may or may not affect some people adversely. It really is a crap shoot. As soon as we get our stevia plants growing good and sustainable, I will no longer buy any from the store...organic or otherwise.
