I wish people would get over this idea of paying taxes as somehow being a "patriotic duty". Taxes are pure theft of our energy and resources for the sole purpose of keeping us from getting too powerful or becoming independent.
In a fiat economy where the government can print as much currency as they want, taxes are completely unnecessary except to provide the illusion that you are actually contributing to society, but we know that's not where that money goes.
So if it's about skin in the game, then the people owning the most property should have more votes.
Why should someone living in a dinky little house on a tiny lot get the same voting power as someone who owns thousands and thousands of acres of land?
The people paying the most in taxes should get more votes, right? They have more skin in the game, don't they?
But if trying hard is the reason, then obviously those who own lots of land are trying harder than those who have parked a broken down trailer on 1/10th of an acre of scrub land.
You should only be able to vote if you’re a net positive tax payer

So do I. That idea was heavily pushed during WWII, and it was so effective that they are continuing to do it to this day.
Agreed.
No benefactor of tax should have any voting rights, it’s a clear conflict of interests.
This rules out all public employees, who coincidentally tend to have very generous pay, pensions and perks, while doing the least work (the 3 P’s).
