I was born not far from El Dorado. I still have some family left in South Arkansas.
That area is filled with forests and the El Dorado area is currently in severe drought.

I don’t think that area is likely to flood or be impacted much by a hurricane, but forest fires would do the trick.
Not much rain in the forecast for that area either.
That or tornados would be the most likely man made geoengineering event.
