So what is the history of this man?
Looks like Russell Pickett. He was assigned to A company 29th infantry. They were first wave of Omaha Beach. He said withing the first 30 to 45 minutes of battle, A company took 96 percent casualty. The boat he was on was hit and and he couldn't feel his legs. He recovered and was reinjured in Battle of Saint Lo. He recovered a second time and was injured a third time in Battle of Vire. The third injury sent him home. The Best Defense Foundation has several videos with Russell. Pretty sure that photograph is him.
I couldn't find anything, but I could look up others that got awards from Potus. That is one thing that made me more convinced.
Quit reaching for crazy straws. JFK was born in 1917 and would be 107 today. He was older than Pickett. Pickett died in 2020 at 95. JFK would have been 103 in 2020. Also JFK was in the Navy.
The picture of Trump and the old man is literally Russell Picketts. All you have to do is go watch the normandy celebration. Trump specifically honors Picketts. The idea that's JFK is ridiculous.
