In Hyde Park, NY, they ask who you are, what your address is, and then check you off, and have you sign in. No I.D. is requested or required. It would allow someone to say they are someone else, and if they know that person will not vote, it could allow some illegal vote, but it would seem to be a very rare possibility.
Thank you for sharing your observations Rare possibility? I think not, they see or make a loophole and leap on it. I am not criticizing you, just stating we should not underestimate their propensity for opportunistic cheating.
