I think it’s a Space Operations badge. Military satellites and other things. I made the case to the leadership back in ‘96 to combine the space operations of all the services, the NRO and military related NASA into one organization because, by eliminating the overhead of all but one player a lot of money could be freed up for more ambitious space operations. But it took Trump to make it happen.

I have been to Sandia Labs, but not Los Alamos. Sandia had space related projects.
