I remember back in 2020 the joke was that U-Haul loves Gavin Newsom for the $millions he made for U-Haul because there really was a mass exodus. Everybody left CA, but a few remained. I remained, but I knew of people who moved to Texas, Florida, Wyoming, and other places.
I'd like to know, 4 years later, how is it going for you guys? I may move in the future too, but I'd like to know how it's going. I dont have a degree, so I was always afraid that if I moved to a better state, would I be even able to find a job?
I am loving Florida. Almost everyone you talk with is based AF, Trump flag wavers at the roadside get all the honks and cheers.
That said, for low earners, you either have to live in the middle of nowhere, or struggle tremendously because it's an expensive place to live. It does feel slightly better knowing the expense is going to real people instead of disappearing into your state taxes though.
I agree, FL is solid. Florida was incredible during the Covid days.
I moved to AZ in 2020 in a republican area and love it. I feel safe here minus living 2 hours away from Phoenix n possible craziness there but I feel blessed everyday here. Most are great patriots and willing to stand against evil.
