Peter Drucker wrote that All speech is an utterance and makes no sense unless the receiver Understands what was uttered. He said no one can understand that which is not in their ability to do so. A message must delivered in a way the recipient can understand and must be within their knowledge base.

He also said the only way to get someone to change the way they think is to shock them, a little at a time will not work.
