Today's news: a family, or rather the mother, is getting a 1500 e compensation from her city because her child's school didn't tell beforehand that in an event in school where a visiting choir was introduced to the children and sang several songs the choir was a Christian one and sang songs of Jesus. And the family is atheist. Seems that "forcing" the child to listen to that without the mother's consent is against religious freedom because due to the songs the whole event can be considered a religious one.

If she is an atheist, then in her delusional belief system neither our Lord Jesus Christ, King of Kings or his Father, Almighty God in Heaven exist.
So how can she be offended by in her opinion, fictional figures? Does anyone in the civil service possess a brain?
Marxists are not intelligent. She is a money grabbing marxist, that is her religion.
Why work, when someone else will, just live off their taxes.
Frankly, IMO that whole thing should look stupid even to agnostics, atheists or people with other religions than Christianity. First of all, why does she not want her child to even observe things like that, is she scared that the child might maybe get interested in the religion?
Second, Finnish culture, like all western cultures, has been strongly influenced by Christianity, to fairly large extent is even based on it, so everybody living in this part of the world should at least familiarize themselves with that religion even if they do not want to practice it. And that would require things like observing even actual church services.
And after all of that, again, if you live here you should respect the religion the culture is built on no matter what your personal opinion of it may be. And what is she scared of if she doesn't want to see anything connected to it? Are her atheistic convictions so flimsy that she is scared she might change her mind if she sees too much of it, or sees too many religious people? Or that her child will stop listening to her views if he/she does? (Finnish language does not have separate words like he/she, we use just one word, hän, for both genders, so you will not know the gender of a person being talked about or mentioned unless it is specifically told, and the news article only talks about a "child")
Is the mother Finnish?
I know quite a lot about Soumi, my other half is Finnish. She’s Lutheran, I’m Catholic, our common ground is Jesus and God (and cats 😀).
I really can’t stand these people, I just know she’s a welfare parasite, which is ironic given that welfare is based on Christian values of supporting the meek.
Seems so, from what I can find online.
Like most Finns my age I was raised as a Lutheran, but resigned from the Church some decades ago. I don't have any major problems with Christianity in general, although there are a few tenets I just can't believe in as well as a couple of things I'm inclined to believe even if they are not acknowledged by any churches, but I don't much like our Church. Or really any modern churches. But I do believe in God.
Same here. Most churches have been fully subverted, the current pope is in my opinion a satanist.
