Every time I hear about “joy” I think back to Catholic grade school where we used to sing a song about it. “I’ve got that joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart, down in my heart, down in my heart....” and it makes me kinda sad actually. It was a very aggressive song. Usually, the teacher handed out those little wooden and metal instruments like tambourine, shaker thingys, triangles and so on and between the first verse and second, everyone viciously banged or rattled or pounded on their instruments. It just wasn’t joyful. At all.
