So I voted early. My ballot was asking about changing the word citizen to resident being allowed to vote. However, the people who voted on election night said it was changing the state constitution from saying every (citizen) to only ( citizens) can vote? I wish I had my phone because I swear the referendum question was worded differently. Can anyone clarify what the exact wording was and will be changed to? 70% said yes and the referendum passed. Does that mean illegals can now vote in state and local races?

Eligibility to vote. Shall section 1 of article III of the constitution, which deals with suffrage, be amended to provide that only a United States citizen age 18 or older who resides in an election district may vote in an election for national, state, or local office or at a statewide or local referendum?
