a girl close to me called me this morning, she lives in a red county and she was crying because her fellow college students were all celebrating Trump's victory, but she and her other girls (very few) were saddened. they were mainly worried about college being unaffordable. I guess they heard somewhere that college would be more expensive over Trump.
They also heard that Trump is completely pro-life. these young college girls just wanna be hoes with no consequences i guess.
but is it true that Trump is gonna make college MORE unaffordable? Could've sworn it got worse under Bush, Obama, and Biden..... and almost all colleges are controlled by the deep state democrats anyway....
Subsidies make college more costly. The unis raise their tuition accordingly.
This is also how medical and car insurance work. Guaranteed payment drives up prices.

The college loan program is subsidized by the federal government. The unis all know what money the students can get in federal grants and LOANS, and have no incentive to keep down their costs! THEY WIN!
The students have huge loans, the taxpayers hold the bag for the repayment, the unis get whatever tuition and fees they charge, without making their offerings affordable or going to their millions of dollars of endowments.
The federal government should not be involved at all.
The unis should give out the loans to their students, and take on the burden to make a college degree actually affordable to their own students! Why are the taxpayers and federal government involved at all in a transaction between an institution and its students? One might ask . . .
