My eye opener was the cash for clunkers program and the lasting impact it has on the used car market. That was only a billion bucks. The FDA has a $7.2 billion dollar by Budget and the USDA has a $28.5 billion dollar budget. Where does it all.go?!

It made the used car market unaffordable for the average fresh college student.

You used to be able to buy an old $500 or $1000 beater, that with a little work and a sharp eye on fluids would keep running for another 5-10 years.
