What better way to catch them, than to catch them red-handed? Yeah 2020 needs to be rectified, but I think it will hit much harder and much more dramatically if the crime is fresh.

Optics matter. If Trump goes digging around trying to meddle with an election he supposedly lost "fairly", it'll look bad.

If Trump wins an obvious, overwhelming win, and is given a mandate, even without the need to win Arizona, then Trump stands to gain much less from investigating Arizona's election after he's elected, and the events will matter more to people because they will be fresher in their memory.

It will look much more bad optics-wise if Dems were caught rigging an election they were obviously losing in a landslide.
