Aqua Tofana History

Chelation Therapy of Heavy Metal poisoning

Using EDTA (lead) and DMSA (arsenic, mercury, others)

Antidotes to Tropane Alkaloids (anticholinergic poisons)

Commonly available Alzehimer drug and OTC nootropic Galantamine is a potential antidote (as well as Physostigmine, and glaucoma drug Pilocarpine) to anticholinergic poisons due to it being a reversible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor... so if someone were poisoned with say belladonna or tropane plants (Datura, Brugmansia ("jimsonweed", "angel trumpets")), might be good to have this on hand. Galantamine as a nootropic is potentially dangerous.

Taking too much is essentially like taking a poison and can cause permanent nerve problems and can cause seizures and strokes. Don't want to mess with acetylcholinesterase inhibitors!

Antidotes to Cholinergic Poisons (pesticides, snake venom)

Oppositely, Nicotine Antidotes Cholinergic Poisoning like Sarin and organophosphate pesticides...and strangely some snake venoms, as it binds to the same receptor blocking some venom's function--- nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR)---this was something discovered during COVID as nAChR agonist drugs blocked interaction of covid spike protein and its binding ACE2 domain

BRAVE AI (indp confirmed by Dr Ardis)

COVID-19 Research: A recent study discovered that a nasal spray containing a dry eye drug (agonist of nAChRs) blocked SARS-CoV-2 attachment to ACE2 receptors, inspired by the interaction between snake venom toxins and nAChRs. Nicotine binds to nAChRs, similar to snake venom toxins. Snake venom toxins (3FTxs) target nAChRs, causing paralysis. nAChR mimics may neutralize specific venom toxins, improving snakebite treatment. The interaction between snake venom toxins and nAChRs has inspired new research in COVID-19 therapeutics.
