It is a no brainer. The Senate majority leader should be VP JD Vance, no questions asked.
It is lawful and was done before by Jefferson I believe.
Either way, Vance is a sitting Senator, promoted to VP, which makes him President of the Senate, Vance should naturally be the speaker of the Senate.
Unlike Kamala, who was a Senator and then VP/President of the Senate. JD Vance does not have to sit around in his office with no official duties other than firing staff members in fits of rage like Harris did. The President of the Senate can actually take on the job as President of the Senate and keep them bitches in line.
He can come in banging garbage cans in their barracks at 5 am like a drill Sargent.
He can come in with white gloves looking for dust.
Constitutionally, it is his job to watch over the hawks in the chicken house.
The Constitution names the vice president of the United States as the president of the Senate. In addition to serving as presiding officer, the vice president has the sole power to break a tie vote in the Senate and formally presides over the receiving and counting of electoral ballots cast in presidential elections.
Today vice presidents serve as principal advisors to the president, but from 1789 until the 1950s their primary duty was to preside over the Senate. Since the 1830s, vice presidents have occupied offices near the Senate Chamber. Over the course of the nation’s history, the vice president’s influence evolved as vice presidents and senators experimented with, and at times vigorously debated, the role to be played by this constitutional officer.

After fact checking myself, Jefferson first served as VP and President of the Senate and acted as Majority leader under President Adams and then went on to serve two terms as President of the US of A.
