I've been through the courts and HELL NO! Those people should not have the power to sentence ANYONE to death. They can make you plead to anything while you're sitting in jail for weeks waiting on your initial arraignment without even being able to call anyone, much less an actual lawyer. Shit, they will throw you into the cell with a group of rapists just to pressure you to plead guilty.
