I think a lot of the fear from accepting this is that a lot of autistic people felt that they are less disabled as they are just simply different, and it is triggering to be made to change your neurology just to fit in more conventionally. I actually see where this comes from because I’m not autistic but I am neurodivergent and I don’t see it as a curse or a blessing, it’s just called being a bit different. No shame and no glory. I think autistic people fear that linking vaccines to autism = autism is shameful/“wrong” and while a lot are probably very non-functioning, not all are disabled. I wish we lived in a world where we could have two conversations at once— it’s okay to be autistic if you’ve found a way to live that works for you, and it’s okay to wish you weren’t autistic because it makes life harder. And most of all, it’s definitely okay to ask for pharma to NOT inject us with shit that literally causes autism and God knows what else!
