Sometimes there are valid strategic reasons for persons who are not guilty to accept pleas.
(IIRC, there WAS a situation - something involving discovery, evidence and/or an actual conviction - that could potentially more negatively affect/impact her in the long run or harm others who were being investigated/indicted/charged.)
