This guy Paul Craig Roberts seems to have a LOT of good material. This article is a long one but it goes into great detail, some of which I've read before from different sources. You've got to wonder:

I might have skipped over the article if I hadn’t read your comment, so thanks for that. My family has interesting ties to WWII from the perspective of the US, Germany and England, so this is a very personal thing.
