What's wrong with people that they need stuff like that in the first place? They have to have the IQ of a doorknob. I vividly recall my first year of college when "Deep Throat" was being talked about among the guys on campus as if it was the greatest thing since hot spit. I had just turned 18 -- and fresh out of an all girl Catholic high school. I knew part A fit into part B but had no idea movement was involved. I subsequently discovered I wasn't the only one who didn't know that but I digress.

After I married my husband, we were discussing mutual college acquaintances and I mentioned to him how they always went on and on about "Deep Throat" and that I wondered what the fascination was about that movie. Back in those days, there were video rental stores so he rented the film for me (at my request) because I wanted to see what.the commotion was all about.

It was stupid! It was so stupid that I remember laughing and asking my husbamd how anyone could take the plot of that film seriously.

For those who haven't seen this idiocy, if I remember correctly (it's been decades) -- it's about a dentist who discovers his patient has a body part normally found elsewhere in the anatomy and hijinks ensue. It was so utterly brainless how anyone could find that sexually stimulating was beyond my comprehension. We (my husband and I) laughed and didn't bother finishing it.

It did, however, change our perception of our college acquaintances. We no longer viewed them as people of intelligence but rather as complete idiots.

That's the only "porn" I've ever seen. It's not at all "sexy" -- it's stupid.
