"Funding" is a rather ambiguous term. By that reasoning (funding) you might want to check if your tax money has funded any hostage taking too- as should we all.
Actually taking hostage's and, condoning and justifying it as some sort of culturally acceptable norm is not ambiguous however.
Funding means to contribute money/resourses towards Hamas who in turn takes hostages...what is abigiuous about that?
Do you think Israel gave Hamass money and said "here, go take hostages." Or, do you think they gave them money and said "here, now leave us the hell alone"?
Did your tax dollars "fund" Hamass? I'm pretty sure mine did. But that doesn't really mean that I fund Hamass hostage taking. That's an example of what I mean by calling "funding" "ambiguous."
So If I give a hitman money for his rent and he just happens to kill one of my enemies as a favor in returen then that is ambigious?.....
If someone is giving Hamas money knowing that part of their culture is to use hostages then they are contributing to the culture.
I have no control over where my tax dollars go, the politicians do. So if they are sending money to an organization that takes hostages then they should be held accoutable as well.
I agree that no money should be going to Hamass. But what you are implying is that Hamass should destroy Israel because, Israel gave money to Hamass, and Hamass took hostages.
That's a pretty silly argument. It's basically: "Hamass has the right to destroy Israel because Israel made Hamass take hostages- they made us do it!"
