TBH. I’d probably trust a House built by the Amish. Over many built by ‘professional’ contractors.

A common joke among some construction tradesmen in my area. Is the only reason they can still get Construction work is the U.S code books for their respective trades haven’t been translated into Spanish yet.

The biggest complaint I've ever heard about some Amish (and similar groups) construction is that they'll still use balloon framing techniques... but as someone who owns a 105 year old balloon framed house the only thing I don't have to complain about with this house is how structurally sturdy it is.
