Does that usually work? Twisting conversation and playing the victim? You’re close minded because you don’t “study” the Bible. You look up verses to support your views and refuse to consider an alternative to your assertions and assumptions. Faith doesn’t require close mindedness- Faith is an experience that requires literally being open to what you can not experience with your own senses and knowledge. It requires being open minded to even begin the journey. I can do thought experiments all day- just because I am calling you out for passive aggression doesn’t mean I am offended by the exercise. Once upon a time I like you believed I was far too clever to believe in God or the Bible. My views have since changed.I did not however go out of my way to insult other’s beliefs and I still don’t. You are not equipped to have an intellectual discussion until you can do so with out sideways remarks. I have had many many conversations online and in person with those that disagree with my “ridiculousness” as you put it.I have learned a great deal from them and respect the individuals deeply. The difference isn’t our beliefs it is respectfulness. I was very respectful to you but you wanted to insult me and be condescending. I ignored it until I didn’t. I am not good at being a Christian. I have a bit of a temper and your purpose was to goad not engage and I fell for it. Congratulations.
