I don't blame them for starting Brics.
The U.S. has been a financial bully for many decades now, and the other nations of the world have grown tired of it. They see that what happens to those the U.S. deems an enemy is financial ruin, and are averse to being in that situation. Culturally (for example), the middle east and India are accustomed to reposing wealth in gold or jewels, as being imperishable. Other nations are tired of having their currency pegged to the dollar, when the dollar floats on a promise and a smile---and Chinese willingness to purchase our securities.
This guy is a putz
It’s more sinister than that. The dollar went from a fixed exchange (gold) to floating exchange. As long as the dollar is the world’s dominant reserve currency, this gives the US an absolute advantage with trade. If 30 central banks de-dollarize at the same time the US becomes a third world country overnight. Simple as that. This has been in the works for years and thank the lord Trump is fighting back.
Question:
If XRP is implemented and one can send a billion Mexican pesos to Japan and 3 seconds later have them converted to Japanese Yen for fractions of a dollar, is there any reason to be obligated to use the US dollar?
