He may have got off easy depending on how filthy UHG has been dealing with their customers, their data and the truth. Let this send a message to others like him Prayers to and for his family. They won't be able to walk the streets...
United healthcare is the worst to both the patients and health care providers. They just keep the money and deny service to patients and deny payment to doctors.
I have to agree here. I have a medical billing company and UHC makes the providers jump through hoops for their payments. They routinely request all medical records before they pay a claim and if the practice is too busy and misses the deadline, they don't get paid! I also wonder if patients realize their personal medical records are being sent to 3rd world countries for review. UHC also has some of the highest paid CEOs in the industry! Brian Thompson's total benefits for 2023 came to $9,859,429.00. BUT, it's the doctors who get accused of running up the cost of healthcare.
Total scam of a company. If Trump wants true healthcare reform they need to get rid of the middle man. Insurance is the number one reason why health care is so expensive for cash patients. Make HSA available for everyone so people have incentive to save for health care and go back to having health insurance just for major issues instead of trying to cover every little thing.
