The hardest part of the journey down the rabbit hole for me has definitely been some of the disturbing stories and images that have came with revelations about just how twisted some people have become. My quest to save one adolescent life has bled into a desire to protect the innocent and vulnerable who are the mercy of monsters wearing human faces. I know I am definitely not alone in this. It is a dark and heavy subject and heartbreaking. When it becomes too much I find that the only thing that lifts the sadness on my heart is an intense study of scripture and surrounding myself with music, books and imagery of the Lord. His peace is a true refuge where I can recharge regroup and gain strength. When my peace is threatened whether from the stress of life or the weight of living in a fallen world it is Christ Alone that rebuilds my heart and joy. Joy I can once again see in my life. I am sharing a few of my favorite songs in the comments that give me peace in this time. I am humbly requesting that if y’all have any other suggestions to please add to it. I thought it might be nice to have a playlist for when we need a little rest and a little peace.

How Great though art. Because sometimes it takes a class 5 leak to reset and begin again. Praise that would bring a tear to a glass eye and an all time favorite song.
First off, thank you so much for your post! This was my Grandpa’s favorite hymn.
I think there is no sweeter gift than tears of joy and relief. This rendition is very special.
Here is one more of my favorites for you, I’ve posted it before on the Epiphany. It’s a simple song that always manages to bring a tear of joy to my eyes.
