The FBI publishes the Uniform Crime Reports (UCR) yearly and pretty much matching with reality. Black on white crime. Urban areas. They just present raw data and that's based on how the municipalities report (politics) and how that data trickles upward. Their data for years have supported all of the observations. How accurate is it? Probably underreported in certain categories.
