Young people aren't paying for these things with their own money and that's part of the resentment. You can live a pretty comfortable life as long as your parents are making good money. If you actually want to be independent, it's very, very difficult when you're starting out. Like sharing a one bedroom apartment with 3 roommates while holding down multiple jobs that pay the equivalent of a McDonald's cheeseburger an hour difficult.
