The term “tea” is slang for gossip, news, or personal information. It is believed to have originated in the LGBTQ+

The phrase went mainstream in the late 2010s thanks to the popularity of the reality show, Ru Paul's Drag Race.

I have never heard anyone use this term before, but the guy in the O'Keefe video is an faggot so this tracks.
