Cost has to come way down to use it as a backup. Like pay-per-use or something. Not paying for the hardware cost for it to sit idle just in case.
I can survive without the internet.
We use it as our primary internet service, it worked even during this year’s hurricane. Went down once when it was attacked. I’m in the sticks so it’s worth it to us as hubby works from home sometimes.
