Panama isn’t just a canal. I guess Trump is opening more negotiations topics at once.

Think:

Panama papers. There can be more to find out if the local gov cooperates.
Trafficking channels from South America that have to cross the channel.
NGOs located in Panama. We saw the video some time ago.
- These NGOs occupy former American army buildings.
- They participate in human trafficking.

The 2nd point here is the most obvious. Regaining the Canal Zone would essentially act as a 2nd wall.
