I vote YES..... Shut it down and move the USA capitol to a more central location. Actually anywhere OUT OF DC.
I can not even conceive of how much money it would take to relocate the entire government.
It doesn't matter where they are, or which building they're in. They're going to be the same people, doing the same things.
A change of location doesn't equate a change of morals.
What happens when all of the same old crimes are committed in the new buildings? Move to a another new one?
It takes a lot less money to relocate the government if you dissolve most of the bureaucracy first.
Then take most of what's left and put it in different places around the South and Central USA, away from the coasts.
And it's still pointless. Moving into new buildings will not stop anyone from continuing to do horrible things in them.
And spreading government agencies all across the country will just make it more difficult and expensive for people to do their jobs. There is a lot of work that goes into different agencies working together face to face. If people had to frequently travel across the country to do their jobs it will just make the workings of the government slower and more expensive.
Here are some reasons why government workers would need to work with other government agencies:
Department of Energy official might visit the Environmental Protection Agency to collaborate on climate policies or energy regulations.
Officials from federal agencies, such as the Secretary of Health and Human Services, frequently visit Congress to testify during committee hearings.
National Security Council staff may visit the Pentagon to coordinate on defense strategies or the Department of State for foreign policy briefings.
White House staff might visit the Department of Treasury to discuss economic initiatives or finalize executive orders involving fiscal policy.
Researchers from the Department of Justice may visit the National Archives to access historical documents necessary for ongoing cases or investigations.
Employees of intelligence agencies like the CIA or FBI often need to visit secure facilities like the Department of Homeland Security or the National Counterterrorism Center for classified briefings.
Officials from the Department of Education might travel to the Government Accountability Office to discuss the findings of an audit on federal education grants.
Agency heads frequently visit the Office of Management and Budget to negotiate or justify their annual budget proposals.
Attorneys from the Department of Justice might visit federal courts in D.C., such as the U.S. District Court or Supreme Court, for litigation matters or filings.

Whenever I see people bring up moving government agencies to different areas of the country, much of the conversation is about how those in power think they're better than others in the "flyover" parts of the country. It looks like much of the reasons people want to move agencies is so they could feel more powerful and/or important by having government agencies near them.
It's a lot of pointless work and increased costs just to soothe the egos of people who live away from the coastal regions of the country. And that's what it frequently boils down to. Just look at the conversation here.
