I homeschooled for reasons wayyyy less than what we see today. That was late 80s in Utah, they were LDS and we were not...small town and we were outsiders, so for everyones benefit we excommunicated ourselves from the school, no seperation of church and state so it all comes right into the classroom...it was their world not mine so we bowed out...it was a great lesson for me.

Oh yes, Mormon was a little bit pervasive (very much pervasive) in Utah. They have some strange influences there.
Certain things I like about them but there's some very strange concepts also.
