tbh I feel kind of take it or leave it on the subject, but do not believe it is a "moral obligation" to reject capital punishment.

Wrongful convictions are harsh, life sentences can be sufficient. Death penalty cases cost more afaik. Don't really want the wrong people in power handing out unjust death sentences either.

If you want to be edgy and cynical about it, making them unpaid prison laborers for life is probably more profitable as well, as an argument against capital punishment
