It is modern tradition to support Jesus' birth and celebrate Him on Dec 25.

It doesn't matter the actual date of Jesus' birth as long as we celebrate Jesus ...and everything is setup to do it on Dec 25

No, we are not celebrating pagans but we are ignoring them and covering their solstice with worship of Jesus and celebrating His birth at this time .

We have sometimes because of distractions or convenience celebrated my birthday or my kids birthday on days after or before when we all can make time. Christmas is no different.
