Brand doesn’t present as a religious expert. He’s presenting as a person who claims he believes Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior. Only God gets to decide if that’s truth or not. God’s word says you will know them by their fruit. At this point in time I see fruit. If he has truly accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, I’m actually happy for him. If he has not, well that’s between him and the Lord, but in the meantime, he is still proclaiming the name of Jesus.
Warned of what? I’m saved. I’ve accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior so I don’t have to worry about where I’m going when I die. Is that responsible for Russell Brand’s relationship with Christ that’s between him and Jesus. So I’m not sure what you’re warning me about. If it turns out, he’s not saved, I have nothing to lose.
“But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:8-10 NKJV
