If consumed in massive quantities, it is recognized that alcohol can cause cancer of the esophagus and digestive tract. That's been known for a long time, so I don't see why a Surgeon General warning would be helpful at this time.

Of course, if you live in California, EVERYTHING causes cancer.

If you consume alcohol in massive quantities, cancer might be one of your lesser problems.
