Vet suicide. I wonder if those vets who suddenly have issues are taking SSRI's administered by VA doctors. Is it stress from being a vet that causes the issues or is it the reaction of drugs given by the VA? Vets, if you are currently on legally prescribed drugs, please delve into the potential side effects of those drugs. You might be surprised at what you find. It might not be your fault, it probably is your doctor's fault. Most folks live life on an even keel, yet when something upsets the course of that life, then bad things can happen. Don't let a doctor be the issue for you to take your life. Ask them about the side effects of all medicines. It is your right to ask.

Tynyyn...YOU would not be far off the mark...the group that I'm in NO BODY takes ANYTHING dealing with PSYCHO DRUGS!!!! Which too me is a God Send...If it wasn't for this group I would have Lost my ONLY brain Cell!!!!!!! We are like a combat team...we would do anything for each other!!!!!!
I am not a vet, just a guy who, from out of nowhere, had an epileptic seizure in the middle of the night. After several brain scans and the such my neuro doctor put me on an SSRI. Driving to and from work, while taking these drugs, altered my mind to where I wanted to slam my car into the nearest tree and end it all. Normally, I'm a pretty laid back guy, so I began wondering what was causing these suicidal thoughts. I finally figured it was the "anti seizure" medication I was prescribed. I went to my brain doctor and explained my situation and she went ballistic. Told me I HAD to continue on this course of action to fix my situation. I politely told her to go stuff it and immediately stopped taking the SSRI's. Since then I've returned to my normal self, no more suicidal thoughts. It was the SSRI's!!!!!!

NOT KIDDING! I saw people saying awful things about the LV body, AFTER they found out he was a "Trump supporter." Glad he was dead and all the usual evil horrid remarks.

Prescribed SSRI's due to the trauma of recognizing how corrupt our government is.
