It’s like every other stock, coin, opportunity, etc in human history. If you would have bought at the low and sold at the high you would have made some money.
It's hard to predict if it will ever come back up. If it doesn't you could be sitting with a giant bag forever so maybe you don't buy there. That's the problem with buying and selling crypto. How can you know what is going to happen? I am betting on XRP but I could be wrong and it doesn't go to the moon or anywhere at all. Trying to predict it's movements has proven tricky. It's probably best for me to just hodl. Getting in at the cost of running a computer would be amazing though. If you have that much foresight maybe you just know exactly what to do.
