Ive lived in socal all my life, seen countless fires. Trees do NOT burn like that. Even going up into the hills after a normal brush fire trees dont look like that, the tops yes, scorched sides sure, but not burning from within. In 2007/08 fire season it burned from north to south then circled back up north. Took days to do so, even with 50 mph winds. These fires pop off in random areas not in accordance with the wind pattern.
