It's a shame, too, because there do exist good vaccines that really work. Rabies, polio, tetanus to name a few. When did it go to shit?

I agree with you - there are valid vaccines developed by talented people. Somewhere along the line, things changed:

using aborted human cells for generating the vaccine
rigorous, unbiased testing

Ultimately, I think it's when someone figured out how profitable it could be to sell vaccines, then bad decisions and bad influences changed everything.
