I'm with you, Splinter -- I always enjoy being reminded of how much TRUTH and intelligent satire is hidden in old books, movies, songs, and so on. There's more reality in the X-Files movie (the first one, Fight the Future) for instance, than in probably all the press conferences from all the presidents from Bush II thru Biden. For those who never saw it: the film's about a conspiracy to use a virus to take over the world, although the details, of course, are SciFi for entertainment. Highlights include Martin Landau (known for the original TV version of Mission Impossible) as a conspiracy theorist who tells Mulder the truth about the situation, including about "FEMA, the secret government" which will be used to take control of America after the Constitution is suspended in the planned emergency.
