I have seen a slew of people asking for more regulations and restrictions. An example i that immediately comes to mind is a conversation I responded to earlier: raising requirements to become a congressional or presidential candidate.

Everything that we're using against the DS was put into place by the DS. Anything you make into rule can be used against us later. Ask yourself would this ruin your chances to locally run or to fix something?
