Long overdue! One of many unconstitutional and unreasonable restrictions on freedom in this country. Suppressors should be over-the-counter items no different than, say, holsters ("Oh no! -- Criminals use holsters to carry and to conceal GUNS, we need Holster Control" -- you KNOW lefties would start with that if the Establishment told them to . . .).
And issue refunds for the illegal fees that all have paid when they purchased suppressors.
And compensation for hearing loss.
There's no sane reason why suppressors shouldn't be widely available and widely used.
Europe considers them safety/ health items…protects hearing.
I’d take it a step further, enshrine constitutional carry (open AND concealed) in all states and territories, repeal the NFA, GCA, and all the other BS laws, and refund everyone who paid a $250 “tax” just to own a suppressor, sawed-off shotgun, MG, etc. Oh, and there’s also an obscure law that needs to be repealed as well. It’s called the Hughes Amendment and it was slipped into the Firearms Owners Protection Act of 1986. Basically that one banned any machine gun manufactured after 1986 from being sold to regular citizens. Cops and the military are exempt, which of course they are. They don’t want us to be as well-armed as their own goons.
