I have some unfinished business with the DOL that in normal times would be resolved within about 3 to 4 weeks. However, under the new Administration and many agencies being put on hold, payments postponed, and employee buy-outs being offered, I don't know if I can resolve my issue as soon as I thought.
Anyone have any inside knowledge about what's happening at Labor?
No "inside knowledge" specifically, but the DoL has been in the news lately. Here's some important stories from today:

Elon Musk’s DOGE team is targeting the Department of Labor, as Musk’s companies Tesla and SpaceX are under multiple labor investigations by federal agencies.
Musk’s companies are facing enforcement actions from a slew of federal agencies, as followed by the nonprofit Public Citizen in its Corporate Enforcement Tracker, many of them over labor protections.

Labor Department workers fear they’re next on DOGE’s to-do list
Several unions are suing to block DOGE from accessing the agency’s sensitive government systems and firing career personnel.

Not sure if any of this is helpful to you u/TNBanjoMan/ nor am I sure it even answers your question. But there's a lot going on with the DoL so the delays you're experiencing, unfortunately, may not resolve soon. Like all g0v agencies right now, they've got their hands full trying to combat Trump & DOGE
No, actually that is QUITE helpful. It makes me think that if the DOL is under the DOGE microscope and the employees know it, they might suddenly turn efficient and do their jobs better and quicker. As such, my issue with the DOL might get resolved very soon.
Thanks! Best response so far.
Welcome! Yea, let's hope the threat of DOGE gets them moving, but I suspect that given how f3d employees move at the speed of sloth, this threat might make them even slower. Who knows. Hope it gets resolved for you in a timely manner
Thanks.
I hear they've been given some heavy tocolytics... (medical joke, tocolytics stop labor during the birth process).
