As do I, I “talk with my hands” and it can be distracting to those when I’m presenting ideas so I do this type of hand movement to keep myself in check.
Yes It’s a good way to keep your hands and arms still while listening to other people talk, instead of going from crossing your arms , putting them on your hips, scratching your ear, fluffing your hair, rubbing your thighs , that’s basically all it is , it’s a calming way of keep your body still . Some people fold hands together And keep them on their belly area .
A body language expert has said that folks that know what they are talking about do this.. IDK, Erick Johnson has a pretty good take on what the meaning of that is should take a look at some of his videos. It’s pretty cool and it’s not the mason crab guys.
My dude has the Tism man....it probs help him focus. I am ADHD big time, and when I talk I tend to get over excited, especially on topics I like. So doing these things that make me focus on maintaining the hand pose calms my mind down a little bit. So I can be concise and not go off on a tangent
Crapola. I find myself doing it. It's something to do with your hands rather than goofy dangling arms, hands in pocket, behind back , arms crossed...it shows attentiveness and openness if anything.
The #1 thing besides pedos that I loathe are Masons. Period.
This post is as silly as when the leftoids said Musk did a nazi salute during the inauguration.
i do that shit
I think to a certain extent people need to calm down on hand mannerisms.

Same here. My family makes fun of me when I am talking in work calls because all the gestures for no one to see.

Me, too. Do you eventually make it back full circle to where you started, though? I like it. Keeps people listening lol
it's a version of the Tip of the Spear hand gesture
