Hello GA, About a year ago I posted a prayer request for my family and father, who is currently battling through cancer. This was when we first found out his cancer went terminal and we were all devastated but the support from this community was incredible. My father has been a very pious catholic all his life, and a rock to our family, often described as one of the strongest men any of his family and friends knew. Back then, we were given no longer than 6 months, and I am happy to say that my father is still with us - thank God and thank you all for your prayers and wishes.

Unfortunately, he recently has taken a sharp turn for the worse and together with all the issues stemming from his chemotherapy, he has now started to lose his mental faculties and it seems like he has symptoms of alzheimer's and it is very clear that he has now reached the final stage - the doctors say weeks to months maximum. I have now moved back in with my parents in order to help them with the caretaking because my mother is getting old herself and can't do it all.

However, after years now we are struggling financially and mentally and this is why I have come to this community again - we know he won't be around for much longer but we ask for your thoughts and prayers to carry us through these last steps in what has turned out to be a very arduous journey.
