Including, I believe and hope, defending only our homeland in preference to any other more marginal threats to our own citizens!
We citizens have paid and gone into debt to protect more distant (if real) security threats to "our" interests-- mostly threats to global security, free trade, etc. which ALL free nations should bear! Why should we alone pay, to the detriment of our future?
Global peace is important. Thirty six TRILLIONS in debt? For global security? Who do they think we are, the British Empire?? And what happened to the British Empire? And what have they allowed to happen to their own homeland? despite all the blood and treasure spent for global hegemony?? [and the white man's burden]
They are back to the boundaries of King Arthur, without his commitment to his own homeland and people.
